Around $16 billion in miles expires each year, often because consumers find it too confusing and time-consuming to keep track of all of their various membership and loyalty programs. The site’s founder, Krista Paul, lost over 26,000 miles in a single program and wondered why there wasn’t a better way to manage all of her loyalty programs in one place. Her vision was to create a service that helps stop travelers from losing miles and points, while also making it easy for them to get the most value out of their rewards. She wanted to help travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, credit cards, etc.) provide loyal customers with the best offers during the search experience.

Based in Denver, CO, UsingMiles was recently named to Entrepreneur’s magazine’s list of ’100 Brilliant Companies and was named ‘Best Flight Management App’ by Inc. magazine. The site has a partnership with Randy Peterson and in fact powers his website, MileageManager.
