Picmonic – Art Intern

Learn to become the artist that inspires change in the way we think about education. Here at Picmonic, we educate and inspire student learners through the use of our effective audiovisual e-learning platform. As as user feedback driven company, Picmonic has been recognized as one of Arizona’s hottest venture-backed startups, winning the 2014 Spring Arizona Innovation Challenge.

We move fast, take risks, and pride ourselves on staying flexible, fun, and ferociously committed to executing each day. Come join a collaborative and innovative team that revolutionizes the way students learn!

As an Art Intern, you’ll be responsible for supporting large projects that help create picture mnemonics…known as Picmonics. You’ll work with professional artists to learn industry use of programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator, while better defining your own artistic talents through their professional perspectives and teachings. You’ll obtain hands-on experience in a professional studio, and be introduced to projects involving multiple departments. You will be involved in projects consisting of regular and consistent use of your skills, while giving you a platform to play with new ideas. All interns will be introduced to various styles of art and will be involved in replicating and completing various characters from our Picmonics.

Interns will have the opportunity to attend weekly training programs hosted by our own artists where they teach each other and adapt their skillsets.

P.S. We have dogs. All of the dogs. And sometimes cookies.
